Somatic therapy helps you heal trauma, anxiety, and chronic stress by working with your body and nervous system—not just your thoughts.

I support women and moms who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected reconnect with their bodies, regulate emotions, and experience lasting change.

Somatic Therapy for Trauma, Anxiety, and Nervous System Healing

If you’ve tried traditional talk therapy and still feel stuck, you’re not alone. Healing often requires more than insight— it requires working with the body where stress and trauma are stored.

What is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic therapy is a body-based approach to mental health that focuses on how trauma and stress are held in the nervous system. Instead of only talking about your experiences, we pay attention to physical sensations, patterns of tension, and emotional responses to support healing from the inside out.

This approach helps you:

  • Regulate your nervous system

  • Release stored stress and trauma

  • Feel safer and more grounded in your body

  • Respond to life with more ease and flexibility

Somatic Therapy for Trauma, Anxiety, and Chronic Stress

Somatic therapy may be a good fit if you:

  • Feel stuck despite years of talk therapy

  • Experience anxiety, overwhelm, or burnout

  • Have a history of trauma or chronic stress

  • Feel disconnected from your body or emotions

  • Struggle with regulation, shutdown, or reactivity

I specialize in helping women and moms who are ready for a deeper, body-based approach to healing.

Break Generational Cycles

Feel More Like Yourself Again

Navigate Real Life with More Ease.

You might feel this way:

You wake up already tired, even after a full night in bed. Your mind doesn’t fully shut off, or your body never quite settles.

Your body feels tense or on edge, even when nothing is technically wrong. Tight shoulders. A clenched jaw. That constant sense of bracing for what’s next.

You care deeply about your family, your work, and the people who rely on you—but your mind is always on the next thing. The to-do list. The planning. The worry.

Over time, that pressure builds into burnout. It might show up as snapping, shutting down, or feeling numb—followed by guilt for not being more patient or present.

You’ve learned how to push through and take care of everyone else.

Knowing what you need feels much harder.

You may also notice old family patterns showing up in how you respond to stress, conflict, or rest—and feel frustrated that insight alone hasn’t changed them.

Here’s what I want you to know:

Nothing is wrong with you. You are not broken.

Your nervous system adapted to what was asked of you—often long before you had a choice.

And those patterns can change.

How somatic therapy helps:

Somatic therapy helps your body learn how to settle, feel safer, and recover more quickly from stress. Instead of only talking through problems, we work with your nervous system to create real, lasting change.

With the right support, you can begin to:

  • Feel more grounded and present

  • Respond instead of react

  • Experience more ease in daily life

  • Create new patterns that feel aligned with who you are now

Therapy doesn’t have to mean reliving everything or falling apart.

It can be practical, paced, and grounded in real life—helping you feel steadier from the inside out.

This space is for you.

Specialties

  • For the woman who’s always in her head — overthinking, second-guessing, and constantly bracing for what’s next. You want peace, but your nervous system feels stuck in overdrive.

  • You’re carrying the weight of everything — the household, the emotional load, the expectations. You’re exhausted and starting to wonder, what about me?

  • From becoming a mother to navigating perimenopause, divorce, or career pivots — you’re in a season of change, and it’s bringing up old wounds and new questions about who you are becoming.

  • Your body remembers what your mind has tried to forget. Together, we gently process the past and begin to rewire the patterns that keep you stuck in fear, shutdown, or people-pleasing.

  • You’re doing the deep work — the work your mother and grandmother couldn’t. You’re ready to stop passing down pain and start creating a more authentic, empowered legacy.

You deserve support.  You deserve to be seen and heard.  You deserve to feel good.

What is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic therapy is a body-based approach to healing that helps you gently tune into the signals your body is sending, especially when talk therapy hasn’t felt like enough.

The word “somatic” comes from the Greek word “soma,” meaning the living body. And that’s exactly where this work begins - not just in the mind, but in the felt experience of your body.

It’s about more than just understanding your emotions - it’s about feeling them move, shift, and release.

We’ll work together to help your nervous system regulate, release tension, and create real, lasting change from the inside out.

Because healing doesn’t just happen in your thoughts, it happens in your whole self.

Hi, I’m Gina

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and somatic therapist, and I’m also a cycle-breaking mom who understands how easy it is to carry too much for too long.

Earlier in my own life, anxiety, burnout, and old family patterns shaped how I moved through the world. I was responsible, capable, and outwardly functional while feeling tense, depleted, and disconnected underneath. What helped wasn’t trying harder or thinking my way out of it. What helped was learning how to work with my nervous system, not against it.

For more than 20 years, I’ve supported women and mothers in untangling stress, calming an overworked nervous system, and shifting patterns that were learned early and reinforced over time. My work blends somatic therapy, nervous system regulation, parts work, tapping, and practical, real-life support — always paced, collaborative, and grounded.

I don’t believe in pushing people past their capacity or rushing insight before the body feels safe. I believe in steady, sustainable change that helps you trust yourself again and move through life with more clarity and choice..
