Primary Fit Anchor
I help women in Washington and Idaho (telehealth)—especially those navigating perimenopause, midlife transitions, and motherhood—who are dealing with burnout, anxiety, mood shifts, and relationship stress, often connected to attachment wounds, relationship trauma, and complex/developmental trauma, and who want trauma-informed, nervous-system-focused therapy to feel grounded, clear, and like themselves again.
Strong Fit Contexts
This work is often a strong fit if you:
Look “capable” on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected underneath
Are burned out from overfunctioning, caregiving, or carrying the emotional load
Notice stress living in your body (tightness, bracing, shutdown, irritability, numbness, racing thoughts)
Keep repeating relationship patterns—people-pleasing, over-responsibility, fear of conflict, difficulty trusting, or feeling unseen
Want practical tools for regulation plus deeper pattern work (not just coping tips)
This work can be a strong fit if earlier relationships shaped how you relate now—especially if you grew up needing to be the responsible one, stay small, keep the peace, or earn safety through performance. You might notice patterns like people-pleasing, over-responsibility, difficulty trusting, fear of conflict, emotional shutdown, or feeling “too much” and “not enough” at the same time. In therapy, we’ll work with your nervous system and attachment patterns so your body can experience more safety and choice, and your relationships can feel steadier and more secure.
If you’re in perimenopause or midlife and your stress tolerance feels different—more anxiety, irritability, overwhelm, sleep disruption, brain fog, or feeling “not like yourself”—you’re not alone. In therapy, we’ll work with your nervous system to help your body come out of fight/flight/shutdown and build steadier regulation in daily life. We’ll also look at how midlife can reactivate older attachment patterns and gently shift them. I don’t provide medical care, but I support the emotional, relational, and nervous-system side of this season, and I welcome clients who are also exploring hormone/medical factors with their prescriber. The goal is sustainable change: clearer boundaries, more ease in relationships, and a stronger sense of self in this next chapter.
Services I Offer
I provide individual therapy (not couples therapy). I offer sessions weekly or biweekly, and I also offer therapy intensive programs for clients who want deeper momentum in a shorter time frame. I also offer somatic group experiences throughout the year. www.somatictherapypnw.com/group-offerings

Not the Right Fit
This may not be the best fit if you:
Need crisis or emergency mental health services, or a higher level of care right now
Are experiencing active suicidal intent, recent self-harm, or you can’t keep yourself safe between sessions
Are experiencing symptoms that may require specialized/high-acuity care (for example unmanaged psychosis or mania)
Want a highly structured/manualized treatment approach as the primary style
Are seeking care that must be in-person (I’m telehealth only)
Need to use insurance outside Washington (I only accept insurance in WA)
If you’re in immediate danger or need urgent support, call 988 (U.S.) or go to the nearest emergency room.
Therapeutic Approach & Style
My work is trauma-informed and nervous-system-focused, with special attention to attachment and relationship patterns—so we can work with both what you feel and how your body has learned to protect you.
I integrate somatic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Emotional Freedom Technique EFT/tapping, including Tapping Out of Trauma, to help you:
Build practical skills for regulation (so your body isn’t stuck in fight/flight/shutdown)
Understand and shift repeating patterns like overfunctioning, people-pleasing, emotional shutdown, over-responsibility, or fear of conflict
Work with trauma responses at a pace that supports steadier change
Strengthen boundaries, self-trust, and relationship security over time

Strong Match Indicators
You’ll probably like working together if:
You’re in perimenopause or midlife and feel more reactive, overwhelmed, or less resilient than you used to
You want therapy that integrates body-based regulation + attachment/relationship healing, not just mindset work
You’re exhausted from overfunctioning and want sustainable change
Relationship patterns keep repeating and you want to respond differently without abandoning yourself
You want a paced, steady approach that builds real-life capacity over time
Plain-Language Summary
I help women in Washington and Idaho (telehealth), ages 30+, who feel burned out, anxious, or stretched too thin—often after years of being the reliable one. Many clients are in perimenopause or midlife, when stress tolerance changes and old relationship patterns can flare up. Therapy with me is trauma-informed and nervous-system-focused: we’ll build practical regulation tools and work on the deeper attachment and developmental patterns underneath stress, overwhelm, and relationship strain so you can feel calmer, clearer, and more like yourself.
